Turning Around Your Career and Your Life
The Women's Employment Network programs have helped thousands of women turn their lives and careers around. We believe — and it’s been proven time and time again — that teaching women and giving them the tools to shape their own futures and secure sustainable employment does more than just give these women paychecks.
At WEN, we're interested in establishing long-term relationships with our clients. Rather than focusing only on filling out the right form or showing up for class, we are ultimately focused on helping women change their life for the better. For women who are ready to discover a new future, we will be there every step of the way.
These are the programs WEN offers:
Signature Program: WEN’s Employment Preparation and Career Transition Training Program. Learn more in the Training & Support section.
Custom Job Search Assistance: Working part-time? Going to school? Caring for an aging parent? An individualized program might be a good fit for you. Work closely with staff to determine what parts of the signature program will help you achieve the next steps in your employment or self-employment goals. Come to our office to register, or to get more information email Lynnette Williams or call (816) 595-2395.
Financial Coaching and Credit Building: Take the first step towards your financial goals by meeting with our financial coach. We help you keep to your budget, improve your credit, and can even help you get ready to start a business. For more information, email one of our Client Services and Financial Coaches or call (816) 595-2391.
Career and Support Services for Alumnae: Once training is complete, WEN offers continuing career counseling support to all program graduates. We think the Alumnae Association is the key to keeping connected. The Alumnae Association is a way to connect, mentor and network with those who have graduated from WEN and those who support our mission. We look forward to holding on to our history and letting go of our past. Learn more about the Alumnae Association.
